Storyline:
In the dystopian future, the totalitarian nation Panem shared between regions 12 and Capitol. Each year two young representatives from each district are selected by lottery to participate in The Hunger Games. Part entertainment, part brutal revenge for last rebellion, the games are televisions throughout Panem. The 24 participants are forced to eliminate their competitors, although there are citizens of Panem to watch. When 16-year-old Katnisss young sister, Prim, is selected as the Class 12s female representative, Katniss volunteers to take her place. She and her Geeta corresponding men, pitted against representatives bigger, stronger, some have trained for this their whole lives.
